Lost my identity for a while there

First year after becoming a dad I basically disappeared into the parent role. Gave up my hockey league, stopped hanging with friends, forgot what I liked doing for fun. Wife finally called me out about it and we had a real talk. Now I make sure to protect some time for myself and honestly our relationship is better because of it. You can't pour from an empty cup and all that. Still mostly a dad but I'm me again too.
