Used to pride myself on being the tough guy who doesn't get affected by things. Now I'm crying at my kids' school plays, getting misty eyed at Disney movies, the whole thing. First time my daughter called me daddy it hit me different. I don't really miss being that guarded version of myself but sometimes I'm surprised by how soft I've gotten. It's a good kind of surprised though.

Same brother. Got emotional at my kid's school play last month and couldn't even explain it to my wife. Something about watching them up there just broke me open. Never thought that would be me.
