New identity as a stay at home dad
Switched roles with my wife about a year ago because her career took off and mine was going nowhere. Honestly it was rough adjusting to this being my life now. Had some identity crisis stuff to work through, felt weird telling people I was a stay at home dad. But now I wouldn't change it for anything. I know my kids in a way I never would have. The financial security for the family is amazing. Still get judged by people but I don't really care anymore.
This takes guts. Seriously respect you for being willing to pivot when it made sense for your family. Four kids means I've seen a lot of different setups work, and the ones where parents stop fighting the right path always do better.
