Quit drinking when our second was born
Was the guy having beers every night, weekend parties, really leaning on it. Wife got pregnant with our second and I just realized I didnt want to be that dad. Almost 2 years sober now. Lost some friendships, miss the social aspect sometimes, but gained so much clarity and actually REMEMBER my kids. Memory's better, save a ton of money, feel healthier. My relationship with my wife is better because she can actually trust me. Its hard some days but man, its worth it.
That's incredible man. Seriously. Second kid on the way was the wake up call I needed too. Took a while to actually break the habit but realizing what I was modeling for them made it easier. How long has it been since you quit?
