Quit my corporate job and became a full time dad
Spent 12 years climbing the ladder at a big tech company. Making good money but barely seeing my kids, missing school pickups, skipping soccer games. Had a breakdown one day just sitting in my car in the parking lot before going in. Made the call to resign and I'm two months in as a stay at home dad now. Miss the paychecks and honestly some of the adult interaction but I've caught up on so much of their lives. Daughter reads to me every night and my son is in baseball and I haven't missed a single game yet. Don't think I could go back now.
This is huge man. 12 years is a long time to be grinding like that. What made you finally pull the trigger? I've been thinking about doing something similar but the money thing has me scared.
