Quit my corporate job to be a stay at home dad

Took the leap last year. Left a six figure job because I was missing everything and burning out hard. People thought we were crazy. But my kids actually know their dad now instead of seeing him exhausted and angry every evening. We're tighter financially but we're richer in every way that matters. Do I miss the prestige and the paycheck sometimes? Yeah. But watching my 4 year old grow up instead of through photos? No amount of money was worth what I was trading away.

Respect for making that move. I think about it sometimes but six figures is hard to walk away from. How's the financial side been treating you? Worth the tradeoff?

Huge move. Burning out is no joke and kids remember the present parent more than the exhausted working one anyway. You're probably a better dad now even without the paycheck.
