Sober dad now - 3 years clean

I don't usually post personal stuff but figured someone here might need to hear this. I was drinking every night for years. Not the fun party kind, just numbing myself kind. My kids remember a dad who was absent even when he was there. Did a program, got sober, went to therapy. Three years now. Hardest thing I ever did but my family actually wants to be around me now. I miss the escape sometimes but I don't miss who I was becoming. If you're struggling, there's a way out.
