Solo Traveler to Dad - Did I Die As A Person
I backpacked through 14 countries in my twenties. That WAS my identity. Booked flights on a whim, stayed in hostels, had stories. Now I'm planning 2-hour beach trips with enough supplies to stock a small shop. The freedom is completely gone. But here's the thing nobody tells you - showing your kid the ocean for the first time, watching their face, is better than any beach I hit solo. I miss being that guy everyone envied but I don't actually envy him anymore which is weird.
Two hour drive adventures hit different when you've got kids, but you learn to appreciate them in a whole new way. You're not dying, just changing.
