The one thing I didn't expect to gain

I thought becoming a dad would just mean losing stuff, losing time, losing freedom. But man, I didn't expect to gain this whole new perspective on what matters. I used to stress about stupid work stuff and whether my car was nice enough. Now watching my son learn to walk is literally the highlight of my week. Still miss my old life sometimes but this is pretty incredible.
