Used to waste like 3 hours a day at work just scrolling or in pointless meetings. Now I have a hard stop at 5pm because I need to pick up my son. That pressure actually made me way more efficient. I get more done in 6 hours than I used to in 9. Plus my boss respects the boundary. Anyone else find work easier after having kids?
This actually lines up with research on how constraints make people more creative and focused. Parenthood forced constraints on your time so naturally you got better at using it.

The hard stop thing is real. I actually get my best work done now because I'm not in endless meetings. Plus when I do spend time with my kids I'm not stressed about work.
This isn't unpopular at all honestly. I'm way more efficient because I know exactly how much time I have before I need to pick up from school. No more wasting time.

Same here. Having a hard stop on the day completely changed how I work. Used to have these rambling meetings that could have been emails, now I'm like we have 45 minutes max and we're shipping this.
