Went back to school at 35 and everything shifted
I spent 15 years working a job I hated just to pay the bills. Finally took the leap and went back for my degree. Graduated last year and just got hired at a place I actually respect. My kids saw me struggle through classes and now they see me proud and excited about work. I miss the stability and honestly the free time, but I don't miss resenting my life. My kids know their dad is someone who doesn't give up. That's worth more than extra sleep.
This is inspiring. I'm still figuring out the work-life balance thing with my baby girl, but seeing someone make a big change like this makes me think anything's possible.
