Went back to school while working full time and being a dad. Here's what changed
Finished my degree last month after five years of community college classes at night and weekends. I miss sleep mostly. And having free time. And not being stressed about deadlines while also helping with homework. But I landed a job in my actual field that pays 40k more and my kids got to see that finishing something hard is worth it. My oldest wants to go to college now because she saw me do it. I'm exhausted but it was worth it.
This is inspiring as hell. Seriously. Did you find that working full time, being present for the kids, AND doing school at night affected your marriage or family time? Or did everyone just rally around it?
