This is embarrassing to admit but I was that guy. Spent 3 hours a day in the gym, meal prepped everything, would get mad if I missed a workout. My kids basically grew up with me being physically present but mentally somewhere else. Blew out my shoulder last year and couldn't work out for months. Forced me to stop and actually be present. I'm heavier now, definitely not as defined, but I'm running around with my kids instead of planning my next workout. Gained perspective. Lost my six pack and my obsession. Don't regret it at all.
