Went from couch to running a half marathon
Three years ago I was overweight, winded walking up stairs, and basically dying young. Something clicked after my daughter said 'dad you're slow'. Started running with this Couch to 5K program and just kept going. Now I'm training for my second half marathon. What I miss most is my old lazy weekends but what I've gained is time with my kids where I'm not exhausted after playing with them. Plus my energy is insane. Never thought I'd be that guy but here we are.
Three years of consistency is what most people are missing. Everyone wants the quick fix but transformation takes real time and effort. Respect for putting in the work.
