Went from finance bro to stay at home dad and I actually found myself
This is gonna sound crazy but I quit my 6 figure job when my son was born and I dont regret it one bit. Was miserable, stuck in traffic, never saw my family. Wife wanted to keep working so we switched things around. First few months I felt lost honestly, like who was I without my job and my status. But then I got into it. I meal prep now, I actually know what my kids are doing in school, Im coaching their soccer team. Make way less money but my quality of life is insane compared to before. My old coworkers think Im nuts but they also all look jealous when I tell them Im home by 3pm. Never going back.
Respect for making that call. Being present for your kid beats any paycheck, and it sounds like you figured that out early.
