Went from never cooking to actually enjoying time in the kitchen
Two years ago I couldn't boil an egg. My wife worked nights a lot and I was doing frozen pizzas and fast food for the kids. One day my oldest asked if we could make tacos together like grandpa does. Started following some basic recipes, then cooking shows, now I'm actually meal planning. What's wild is it became this thing where the kids come in and help, we talk about their day, no phones. Changed me in ways I didn't expect. Miss the simplicity of just ordering food? Nah. Don't miss the guilt either.
This is awesome. My wife works a lot too and cooking has become kind of therapeutic for me. Plus the kids actually eat better when I'm involved. Did your family notice a difference once you started cooking real meals?
