Went from skinny dad to actually lifting, what a change
Started hitting the gym last year because I couldn't pick up my 4-year-old without my back killing me. Now I'm actually jacked for the first time since college. The shift is weird though - I see myself differently, my wife sees me differently, my kids think I'm some kind of superhero. But I've traded some freedom for this. Can't just veg out on weekends, gotta get to the gym, gotta stretch, gotta meal prep. Sometimes I miss just being lazy. That said, having energy to play tackle football with the boys instead of collapsing on the couch is everything. Don't regret it at all.
This right here. Back pain from picking up a 4 year old is no joke. I couldn't even do bathtime without my lower back complaining. Props for actually committing to the gym.
