What do you miss most about being a bachelor?

Okay so I'm not complaining, I adore my kids, but I'm curious what everyone else misses from before. For me it's the spontaneity. Wanted to drive 4 hours to a brewery? Done. Wanted to stay out until 2am on a weeknight? No problem. Now every single thing requires planning, backup plans, and honestly I'm usually too beat to do anything fun anyway. The trade off is worth it but man, I do miss just doing whatever I wanted whenever I wanted.

The brewery runs sound legendary but honestly I don't think I'd trade what I have now for that life back. Different chapter you know?

I miss sleeping in honestly. And having money that I could just spend on whatever I wanted without feeling guilty about saving for their future.

The not having to plan everything sounds incredible right about now. My wife and I haven't had an unscheduled day in months.

Staying out until 2am sounds exhausting now that I think about it. My body wouldn't even let me do that anymore even if I wanted to.

Spontaneity is huge. I miss just saying yes to things without having to coordinate schedules and childcare. That freedom was real.

For real though the spontaneity thing hits different when you're a dad. You can't just up and do things. But I'm finding there's a different kind of spontaneity with kids that's pretty cool.
