Not gonna lie, I miss sleeping past 6am. I miss spontaneous weeknight beer runs with the boys. I miss my free time and my money and not having to plan every single thing. But I look at my 4 year old right now drawing a picture of me as a superhero and I can't imagine ever going back. So I guess I don't really miss it, I just remember it.
The sleep thing is real. I miss just rolling over and it being 8:30am without panicking. But honestly? I don't miss the actual beer runs as much as I thought I would. The missing sleep part though, that one stings every morning.
Sleep past 6am sounds like a fantasy at this point. But seriously, you can still find ways to keep some of that freedom. My wife watches the kids one Saturday a month so I can go do my thing. Gotta protect some of that for yourself.
Dude I feel this so hard. I miss the spontaneity the most. Now every single thing requires planning like three weeks out. Can't just decide to hit up a movie or take a random weekend trip. Everything is logistics.

I get it but I'll be real with you, I wouldn't trade what I have now for any of that back. The early mornings suck but waking up to my kids actually makes it worth it. The spontaneity thing though? Yeah that's real.
