What I miss most about being single
I got married and became a dad within like 18 months of each other. Looking back I miss the spontaneity. Want to grab beers at 9pm on a Thursday? Could just do it. Sleep till noon on Sunday? Go for it. Now everything requires planning and someone to watch the kids. Don't get me wrong, I love my family, but sometimes I think about those days and it's a weird feeling. The freedom was nice. That said, the meaning now is way better than anything I had back then, so it's a fair trade I guess.
The timeline sounds intense. 18 months is fast to reset your whole life. The good news is you don't have to completely lose that spontaneous guy, you just express it differently now.
