Who I thought I'd be vs who I actually became

Ten years ago I was planning to be that guy with the fancy car and the corner office. Married my college girlfriend, thought we had it figured out. Then kids happened, then the marriage fell apart, and suddenly I'm a part time dad living in a smaller place. Honestly? I don't miss the stress. I miss sleeping in and going out on weekends, sure. But I gained patience, real friends, and a relationship with my kids that isn't surface level. I'm more myself now than I ever was.

Man, this hits different. I thought I'd have it all figured out by now too, but turns out the corner office doesn't compare to actually being here for the moments that matter. Sounds like you found something better than the plan.
