Who knew being a dad would change my entire identity

Before kids I was all about working out, hanging with buddies, staying late at the bar, doing whatever I wanted. Then my daughter was born and like overnight I cared about completely different things. Still work out but now it's at 5am before everyone wakes up. My friends list is smaller because I can't just hang whenever. That life feels like it belonged to someone else now. Don't regret it at all but man the identity shift was real. I'm a dad first now and everything else comes after.

Man, that hit different. I used to be all about the garage and buddies too, but now I'm teaching my kid to fix things and he's the best part of my day. Identity shift is real but it's the good kind.
