50/50 custody working great

Been doing 50/50 with my ex for almost 2 years now and I have to say it's way better than I expected. We do week on week off which means I get real time with the kids instead of just every other weekend. They have their room at my place, their stuff, it feels like home not a visiting situation. Yeah it requires coordination and there's still tension sometimes but honestly my kids are happier having both parents equally involved. If you're fighting for custody time, fight hard. It matters.

That's awesome. I think a lot of guys expect co-parenting to be terrible but when it actually works, the kids win big. Sounds like you and your ex are doing it right.

That's awesome man, week on week off really does give you quality time with them. I'm still navigating the co-parenting thing with my three but hearing this gives me hope that it can actually work out well.

That's really good to hear. A lot of people think 50/50 is going to be a nightmare but when both parents actually work at it, the kids do so much better. Glad you two figured it out.
