Anyone else's ex ignore the custody schedule for their new partner?

So my ex has been trading weekends with me constantly because of her new boyfriend. I get that people have lives, but I've turned down plans with my girlfriend multiple times to stick to the schedule we agreed on. Emma's 8 and I feel like she's getting confused about when she's supposed to be at my place. Do I need to lawyer up over this or am I being petty?
