Been using the free version for a few months. My ex and I communicate mostly through it instead of texting now and it's definitely reduced the amount of petty arguments. Thinking about upgrading to the paid version for the app features. Is it worth the $120/year or am I just throwing money at a problem?
The paid version is worth it imo. The lawyer review feature alone saved us from sending like 3 really dumb messages during custody disputes. Plus the ability to document everything for court is clutch if things ever go south again.
The paid version is worth it mainly for the messaging timeline and the fact that everything's timestamped and documented. If you ever end up in a custody dispute, having that paper trail is invaluable. The $99/year or whatever it is now pays for itself in peace of mind alone.
lol same, reduced our arguments by like 70% just by not having to hash things out over text. The structure of the app forces you to be more professional about it
Do it. I was on the fence for months and then had a situation where I needed to pull up a message from 8 months prior and the free version's search function is basically useless. Paid version found it in seconds.
Question for you - does your ex actually read stuff on the app or do they just not check it? Because we switched and my ex still pretends they didn't see messages about schedule changes.

I'd upgrade. The free version works but you're missing the Custody X Change integration and the calendar syncing isn't as smooth. Plus the tone reminder feature actually helps keep things civil when you're typing something heated.
The free version got us 80% of the way there. I upgraded to paid for like 6 months then downgraded back to free. The lawyer review feature is nice but honestly we weren't using it enough to justify the recurring cost.
Genuinely curious - when you say reduced petty arguments, did your ex also buy into using it consistently or did you have to sell them on it? My ex keeps forgetting to check hers and I end up texting anyway.

Had the paid version for 2 years. Honestly the expense tracking alone is worth it - we use it to split all the kid costs and it eliminated SO many 'wait did you pay for that?' arguments. Highly recommend upgrading.
