Best co-parenting win: we actually had a normal conversation

My ex and I have been civil but kinda robotic for 2 years. Today she asked how I was doing (like actually asked) and we talked about the kids for like 20 minutes without it turning into logistics. She even laughed at a stupid joke I made. It was WEIRD in the best way. Makes me think maybe we can actually be friendly someday instead of just functional. Or maybe I'm reading too much into it lol. Either way, small victory.

The kids definitely notice when their parents aren't enemies anymore. That one conversation probably meant more to them than you realize.

We had something similar happen and it made co-parenting actually feel manageable. Gives the kids a better vibe too when they can tell you're both actually okay.

This is one of those wins nobody talks about but it's honestly bigger than getting your kids to listen or anything else. Glad you guys found a way to do this.
