Can't get ex to communicate about kids' needs

I try to ask about school stuff, doctor appointments, activities coming up and I get one word answers or nothing at all. Last week I found out from my 9 year old that she had a field trip permission slip that was due. I had to scramble to get it signed. The custody order says we're supposed to keep each other informed about important stuff but there's no real teeth to it. Considering using one of those co-parenting apps where everything gets documented. Has anyone used OurFamilyWizard or similar? Worth the money?

This is the worst part of co-parenting sometimes. You're trying to be involved and engaged and it feels like pulling teeth. Keep documenting everything though. Texts, emails, all of it.

Have you considered asking for a co-parenting app like OurFamilyWizard? Takes some of the back and forth pressure off and there's a record of everything. Makes it harder to avoid communication.

One word answers about your own kids is frustrating as hell. You have every right to know what's going on in their lives. Have you tried texting instead? Sometimes that gets better responses.
