Can we just acknowledge that co-parenting communication apps are weird?
Like, I'm literally texting my ex about our kids through an app because we can't text each other normally anymore. It feels dystopian. Everything is documented, formal, logged. I miss just being able to text like "hey my bad, can you grab diapers" without it feeling like a court proceeding.
Obviously they're necessary when things are bad. But does anyone else find the whole thing a bit sad?
This is actually a feature though not a bug. Having everything documented protects you if custody stuff gets messy. I know it feels weird and dystopian but it's better than he-said-she-said arguments.
