Celebrating: Got shared custody agreement finalized!

After 8 months of back and forth with lawyers I finally got the paperwork signed. 50/50 custody, alternating weeks. My ex and I aren't best friends but we managed to keep it civil for the kids. Just wanted to say to anyone going through this that it's possible to come out the other side without total warfare. Biggest advice I'd give is keep the kids out of it no matter how angry you are. They didn't ask for any of this.

8 months is a grind but man, congrats on getting it done. 50/50 is solid and having that certainty will make co-parenting so much easier when you're not in legal limbo anymore.

That's huge! The fact that you and your ex can work together on this even if you're not close says a lot. My kids do better when there's stability like what you just locked in.
