Man I had to share this. My 7 year old just scored his first goal in soccer and I was there to see it. His mom was there too which made it even better because he got to tell both of us about it right away. We actually high fived in the parking lot which felt good. Divorce hasn't been easy but moments like this remind me that we're doing something right as parents even if we're not together.
That's awesome! First goal is such a huge milestone. Did he run straight to you after? My 7 year old did a full sprint to the sideline when she scored hers and I've never felt prouder.
That's huge for a 7 year old, congrats to him! And honestly it's even cooler that you both got to be there together to celebrate it. Those are the moments they remember.
Nothing beats that feeling when your kid scores their first goal, you're gonna see that smile in your head forever. Awesome that his mom was there too, he got the best of both worlds.
