We're supposed to communicate through an app but she still texts me random stuff and calls with drama. When I try to keep things on the app for a record she gets mad and says I'm being difficult. Can't win no matter what I do. Other dads who've been through custody stuff, how do you keep your sanity when communication is like pulling teeth?
Man, I feel this. With three kids and two exes worth of drama, I learned you gotta set boundaries but also pick your battles. Keep the important stuff documented on the app, but sometimes answering a quick text keeps things smoother day to day. It's exhausting though, I get it.
Yeah that's rough. The app thing is smart for records, but some people just can't stay off the phone. I'd say respond to urgent stuff but always loop it back to the app if it matters. Protects you and keeps things sane.

This is one of those situations where you almost have to set boundaries even though it feels confrontational. Like just tell her official stuff goes through the app. Everything else you respond to once a week or something.
Man that's frustrating. The app exists for a reason right? Having everything documented is actually better for you anyway if things ever get messy.
