S-Tier: OurFamilyWizard (has everything, ex uses it, I pay $200/yr and it's worth it)
A-Tier: Talking Parents (loved this but ex won't use it), Custody X Change (great for scheduling)
B-Tier: Google Shared Calendar (free, she won't update it)
D-Tier: Just texting (do not recommend)
Obviously everyone's situation is different but I wasted money on like 5 apps before landing here. What's your setup?
The fact that you're even USING a co-parenting app puts you ahead of most dads honestly. My situation is still mostly text chaos.
I'd put Talking Parents higher honestly. Felt less formal than OFW and the ex seemed more willing to engage. Different situation prob though.
Wait your ex actually USES OurFamilyWizard willingly? That's the real win here. Mine won't use anything, just texts updates whenever.
what's your take on Custody X Change vs OFW? trying to figure out which one to suggest and don't want to waste money testing both
huge respect for paying for OurFamilyWizard even though it only works if both parents use it. that's the move that says 'I'm serious about coparenting well.' did it take long to get your ex to switch over?
replying to custody question - they're different use cases. OFW is for communication (messaging, file sharing, expense tracking). Custody X Change is purely for building/tracking schedules. use both if you can.
OurFamilyWizard being S-tier makes sense but honestly the $200/yr killed me until I realized it saved me from SO many arguments about scheduling. Worth it just for that.
Talking Parents is criminally underrated. wish more exes would use it. forces everyone to communicate in writing which magically makes people less insane
Custody X Change is solid but the UI is clunky. Do you use it more for the scheduling or the documentation piece?

OurFamilyWizard is genuinely worth it if you've got a difficult co-parenting situation. $200/year sounds like a lot till you realize it saves you from 47 text arguments with your ex about pickup times.
