Communication app or just text?

Been using Our Family Wizard for a few months now and honestly it's saved us from so much drama. Ex can't go off on tangents, everything is documented for the lawyer if needed, and the tone is just more professional. Cost me like $100 a year but worth every penny. Anyone else use something like this or just handle it with regular texts?
