Communication Apps and Keeping It Civil

Started using one of those co-parenting apps a few months ago and honestly it's been a game changer. Everything about the kids goes through the app now. No more texts that turn into arguments. No more she said he said situations. It's all documented and it keeps us both honest. Plus the kids don't have to hear us fighting about logistics. If you're in a bad custody situation I can't recommend this enough. My ex was skeptical at first but I think she appreciates not having to interact with me directly either. Just wanted to throw that out there for anyone struggling with communication.

Which app are you using? I've been thinking about trying one but wasn't sure if it actually works or if it just adds another thing to manage.

This is honestly one of the best investments you can make in a co-parenting situation. Everything being documented and time-stamped takes the emotion out of disagreements. We've been using one for over a year now.

The game changer for us was when we both stopped trying to have conversations through text and just stuck to the app updates. No more 47 message arguments about pickup times.
