Communication with co-parent through app or text?

We've been using this co-parenting communication app but my ex keeps texting me directly about pickup times and money stuff. I read that courts prefer documented communication so I keep trying to redirect everything to the app. She thinks I'm being petty but I'm just trying to protect myself. Anyone else deal with this? What's the best way to handle it without starting drama?

The app is definitely the safer way to go for anything official. I know it's awkward to enforce boundaries with your ex but courts really do look at that stuff. Stay consistent with it.

You're right to want to keep things documented in the app. With money stuff especially, having everything in one place protects both of you. I'd gently redirect her back to the app each time without making it weird.
