Communication with ex is impossible

Every time I text about the kids, she either doesn't respond for hours or responds with something nasty. I'm trying to be civil and just ask about doctors appointments or school stuff but she treats it like I'm attacking her. Started using that coparenting app where we can message through there instead. Anyone else use those? Wondering if it actually helps or if she'll just ignore me there too.

Oh man, the hours of silence followed by a snarky message. That's been my life for two years now. I finally stopped taking it personally and started keeping everything super factual and brief. No room for her to twist anything.
I feel you on this. With two kids split between houses, I learned to keep texts focused only on schedules and logistics. Anything that's not about pickup times or medical stuff just doesn't get answered well.
