Communication with ex wife is toxic, getting worse

Every text turns into an argument. I'll ask something simple like 'what time is soccer practice' and somehow it becomes about how I never help with anything. I've tried being brief, I've tried being nice, nothing works. I'm thinking about only communicating about logistics now but I feel like I'm being cold. She says I'm being difficult. Anyone else dealing with this? I have the kids 40% of the time and I want them to see both of us happy but it's exhausting.

It's rough when every interaction becomes a minefield. I'd suggest a coparenting app if you haven't already. Takes the emotion out of the text exchange and keeps everything documented. Saved me from a lot of arguments.

Yeah this is tough. The soccer practice question shouldn't turn into anything but have you considered whether she's stressed about parenting stuff too? Not making excuses for her but sometimes the tension goes both ways.

That sounds exhausting. Have you tried keeping communication to logistics only? Like literally just exchange times and dates without commentary. Some of my coparenting wins came from treating texts like business emails instead of conversations.
