Currently using a shared Google calendar and texting, which is a mess. My ex and I get along okay but I'm tired of the back-and-forth about pickup times and expenses. Someone mentioned OurFamilyWizard - is it worth the subscription? Any other apps people actually use and like?
2 Kids is a good free option if budget is tight. Does scheduling and basic messaging. Not fancy but gets the job done.
We switched to OurFamilyWizard like 6 months ago and honestly it's been a game changer. Yeah it costs money but having everything in one place instead of digging through texts from 2019 is worth it. Plus the expense tracker is solid when you're splitting costs on stuff.
Honestly the biggest thing that helped us wasn't the app, it was setting a specific time to talk about logistics. Like Tuesday evenings only. Cuts down on random texts throughout the day that turn into arguments about stupid stuff.
Google Calendar plus texting sounds chaotic. Have you looked at Coparently? Friend of mine uses it and says the messaging is way better organized than just SMS. Not sure about pricing though.

We use Talking Parents and I can't recommend it enough. Everything is documented, there's a journal feature, expense tracking. It's like having a digital mediator.
