Custody agreement finally signed - feeling relieved but guilty

Got the papers signed today after 8 months of back and forth with lawyers. 50/50 custody, alternating weeks. I know this is the best outcome for the kids but man, I keep thinking about how different things will be. Won't see them every single day anymore. My ex and I are being civil which helps but it still feels weird. Anyone else dealing with this transition? How do you adjust to the new schedule mentally?

Eight months is a long haul, man. That guilt is normal but you did the work and got a solid outcome for your kids. 50/50 is fair and they'll benefit from having both parents equally in their lives.

Congrats on getting through the process. The relief you're feeling is real, and honestly that guilt usually fades once you settle into the routine and see how much better things are for the kids.
