Custody evaluation coming up, nervous as hell
My 6 and 9 year old are going to be talking to the evaluator next month. Both kids live with their mom primarily, I get them weekends and one weeknight. We split pretty amicably but the evaluator is going to want to know what they prefer and honestly I'm terrified they'll say they want to stay with mom since that's where they're most of the time. How have guys gotten through this? Any advice on preparing the kids or just being ready for whatever they say?
The hardest part is not knowing what they're going to say, right? But kids are pretty honest about who they feel safe with. Just keep being the dad you are.
