Custody modification because I got promoted and have more flexible schedule now

Got a new job that actually lets me work from home 3 days a week and my boss is cool with flexible hours. Current custody is 60/40 with her having majority. I'd love to spend more time with the kids during the week since I can now pick them up from school instead of them sitting in after care. Should I try to modify the agreement? We've been civil enough. Not sure if I should bring it up to her first or just have my lawyer handle it. Any advice on how to approach this?

Congrats on the promotion! More time with the boys is what matters most. Going through this now myself - documenting how you're using that flexible time helps with the modification process.

That's awesome that your work schedule is more flexible now. More time with them is always a win, just make sure your co-parent is on board with the changes.

That's great about the flexibility - your ex sounds reasonable and this could be really good for the kids. I'd get a family law attorney to help with the modification though, just to make sure it goes smooth.
