Custody Order Doesn't Cover This Situation

Our custody agreement is pretty standard but it doesn't say what happens if one parent wants to take the kids on a longer vacation during the other person's time. My ex wants to take them to her parents for 2 weeks in July, which overlaps my scheduled month. Before I said no, I wanted to ask if anyone's dealt with this. I'd be fine with making it up later but I need that summer time. How do we handle this without going back to court?

This is such a common gap in agreements. We had the same thing happen and it caused some drama. Might be worth getting it amended now while things are okay between you two rather than fighting about it later.
