Custody order says I get EOW but she keeps extending

My custody agreement is every other weekend Friday through Sunday. But for the last three weekends, my ex has texted me Sunday afternoon asking if the kids can stay until Monday or Tuesday. First time I said yes, trying to be the cool dad. Now it's become a thing and she expects it. Last time I said no and she got mad at me like I was being unreasonable. I want to be flexible but I also have a life and this is messing with my schedule. Do I need to enforce the order or am I being a jerk?

This is frustrating. Your custody order is the legal agreement - if she's extending without your approval, that's her violating it. Have you talked to her directly about sticking to the schedule?

Document every single time this happens with dates and what happened. You might need this later if things escalate. Sorry man, that's a tough position.

Is she saying the kids don't want to come back, or is she just not sending them? Those are two different problems but both need to be addressed.
