Custody schedule change - is 50/50 actually working for you?

We switched to a 2-2-3 schedule last month (been doing 50/50 alternating weeks for 3 years) and I'm honestly not sure if it's better or just different. My 7yo seems less disoriented on transition days, but I feel like I'm never fully "off." Other dads doing this schedule - does it get easier? Right now I feel like I'm packing/unpacking backpacks constantly.
