Custody schedule changing next month and I'm stressed

My ex and I agreed to switch from 50/50 to her having more weekdays since my job got crazy. I'm worried the kids will think I'm not trying to see them as much. How do you explain this to them without making it sound bad? She's being cool about it which I appreciate but still nervous about this.

I get the stress man. When my schedule got crazy at work a few years back I had similar fears. But honestly kids are resilient and you'll make the most of your time with them. The weekends can still be quality time.

That's a tough adjustment even when you're both on the same page about it. Are you worried about missing out on weekday stuff with them or more about the logistics of it all?

This is rough but at least you two can communicate about it and make changes when needed. That's already better than a lot of custody situations out there.
