Custody schedule is killing me financially and mentally

Going through the divorce process right now and the proposed 50/50 custody sounds fair on paper but my ex wants child support on top of that because she makes less than me. I'm already looking at two mortgages basically, buying duplicate stuff for the kids at my place, and now I'm supposed to pay her too? My lawyer says I don't have a strong case to fight it but this feels wrong. Anyone dealt with this situation? How did you make it work?

That's a tough spot. I'd push back on the numbers with your lawyer because equal custody shouldn't automatically mean you're paying full support too. Hang in there, brother.

Man, 50/50 with child support on top is rough. I'm co-parenting three kids here in San Antonio and I get it - the math doesn't add up when you're splitting time equally but still paying. Definitely talk to a family law attorney about that because it shouldn't work both ways like that.
