Different parenting styles - who's right?

My ex lets our 10yo daughter stay up until 10pm on school nights, have snacks whenever she wants, and basically zero chores. At my place she has an 8:30 bedtime, structured meal times, and she does chores. My daughter obviously prefers her mom's place and gets frustrated with my "rules." But I feel like she needs structure? Am I being old-fashioned here or is my ex setting her up for problems?
