Ex keeps changing pickup times last minute and it's killing my schedule

This has been happening for 3 weeks now. I'll plan my whole day around picking up the kids at 5pm on Fridays and then at 4:45 I get a text saying she needs them at 6:30 instead. Or vice versa. I work in construction so I can't just leave the job site whenever. I've asked her nicely multiple times to stick to the custody agreement but she keeps saying "life happens" and "you should be flexible for the kids." The kids are fine either way but I'm stressed constantly. Do I need to document this and bring it to my lawyer or am I overreacting?

That's incredibly frustrating and it messes with your whole day. You need to document every time she does this and bring it to your custody agreement. Can you go back to court or do a modification?

Three weeks is a pattern not a mistake. You might need to get a lawyer involved to lock down pickup times in writing. I hate that it comes to that but sometimes it's the only way.

Last minute schedule changes would drive me insane with work. Have you tried telling her that you need 48 hour notice and sticking to it? Don't adjust your day anymore if she's going to be unreliable.

This is a control thing honestly. I deal with something similar and the best thing I did was stop rearranging my life for last minute changes. Pickup is at 5 whether she likes it or not.
