Ex wants to change custody schedule last minute AGAIN

This is the third time in two months she's asked to swap weekends at the last second. I had plans with the kids this Saturday and she texts me Friday asking if she can take them instead because her new boyfriend is visiting. I said no but now she's threatening to involve lawyers. Am I being unreasonable? I feel like I need to be flexible but also I can't just rearrange my life every other week.

That's exhausting and honestly disrespectful of your time. Third time means it's a pattern, not a legitimate scheduling conflict. You might need to set a boundary like 'last minute changes only happen in genuine emergencies.'

I'd start documenting these. Not to be a jerk but if it keeps happening, you need a record if this ever becomes a custody issue. Screenshot the messages.
