Ex wants to change custody schedule last minute again

This is the third time in two months she's asked to swap weekends at the last minute. I get that life happens but I have plans with the kids that I've already told them about. How do you guys handle this without being the bad guy? I don't want to punish the kids but I also can't keep rearranging my whole life. Do I just start saying no or am I being unreasonable here?

That's exhausting. The kids need consistency and honestly you do too. Between work and everything else, having a solid schedule is crucial. Don't feel bad putting your foot down.

I get that life happens but three times is a pattern not an emergency. You've got to protect your time with your kids and your sanity. Stick to the agreement unless there's a real crisis.

Third time in two months is rough. I feel you on this. You gotta set boundaries or it just keeps happening. Did you push back this time or just go along with it?
